What is Little Anthem?

Little Anthem makes a personalised song for someone you care about, with their name sung in every chorus. You tell us about them on the website, and we write and record a song made with AI. Little Anthem is a trading name of Brookhold Ltd, a UK company.

How does it work?

It takes four steps, all on the website.

1. Tell us about them. Their name, who they are to you, the occasion, up to three true details, a style, a singer and a mood. If their name is easy to say wrong, you can add how to say it.
2. We make the song. AI writes the lyrics from your answers. AI then composes the music and sings it. An AI listening check confirms the name is sung in the chorus before you hear it.
3. Hear it free. You hear the first verse and the whole first chorus before you pay. If it isn't right, you can ask for one more free version before you buy.
4. Keep it for £19.99. You get the full song as an MP3 (about two and a half minutes), the lyrics, a private gift page you can send, and one free change.

How much does it cost?

It costs £19.99, paid once, to keep the full song. There is no subscription. Hearing the preview is free, and you pay nothing if you don't keep the song. The terms say: "The price is shown on your song page before you pay (currently £19.99) and is the total you pay." Payments are taken by Stripe.

Can I hear it before I pay?

Yes. You hear the first verse and the whole first chorus free, before you pay anything. The terms say: "Hearing your song up to the end of the first chorus is free." They also say: "You can ask for one more free version before you buy."

How long does it take?

The free preview is typically ready in a minute or two. It is not instant, and we don't guarantee a time. We also email you a link to your song. Once you pay, the full song is supplied straight away (you tick a box asking for this before you pay).

Can I get one today, for a last-minute gift?

Usually, yes. Because the preview typically takes a minute or two and the full song is supplied straight away once you pay, you can make, hear and buy a song on the day you need it. You can send it as a download or through its private gift page.

Is it made with AI?

Yes, and we say so plainly. The lyrics are written by AI (Anthropic's Claude) from what you tell us. The music and vocals are generated by AI (Google's Lyria). An AI listening check (Google's Gemini) confirms the name is sung in the chorus before you hear it. Each song carries Google's SynthID, an inaudible watermark. The terms say: "The song is made with AI: our software writes the words from your answers, and Google's Lyria music model performs it."

Can AI write a song with someone's name in it?

Yes. Little Anthem's songs are written around one person's name, and the name is sung in every chorus. You can see this in our example songs, which are real output from our system for made-up people. Unusual names can be harder for AI to sing, so you can tell us how to say the name. Our free name checker gives a quick guess at how a name will sing.

What styles and voices can I choose?

There are eight styles: acoustic folk, piano ballad, upbeat pop, country, soul, indie rock, lullaby and festive. The singer can be female, male or either. The mood can be sweet, funny or joyful.

Who and what occasions is it for?

You can make a song for a partner, wife, husband, girlfriend, boyfriend, mum, dad, grandma, grandad, daughter, son, sister, brother, best friend, friend, new baby, dog, cat, colleague, teacher or someone else. Occasions are birthday, anniversary, wedding, Christmas, new baby, Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, retirement, thank you, just because and in memory.

What if the name is unusual or easy to say wrong?

You can tell us how to say it. The order form has an optional field, "How do you say it?", for names that are easy to say wrong. In our example songs, Niamh is sung from "Neev" and Priya from "Pree-ya". The preview is free, so you can hear how the name sounds before you pay.

Can I get a refund or a change?

You get one free change after you buy, and a corrected version or a refund if something is wrong with the song. The terms say: "After you buy, you can ask for one free change (for example a line, a fact or the style) from your song page within 30 days." On faults: "If something's wrong with it, for example the name is wrong or the audio is faulty, email us." And: "We'll make a corrected version, or refund you if we can't." If you don't buy, you pay nothing.

Can I cancel?

Not once the song has been delivered. The terms say: "Because it's digital content made for you, we only supply it straight away if you ask us to" and that "you lose your 14-day right to cancel once it's delivered." You tick a box to confirm this before you pay, and it is repeated in your confirmation email.

What can I do with the song?

You can play it, share it and give it as a gift, but not sell it or put it on streaming services. The terms say: "You can play it, share it, post it on your own social media, use it at events and give it as a gift." They also say: "You can't sell it, use it in advertising, upload it to streaming services" or "register it with content-identification systems." And: "We won't sell or license your song to anyone else, and we won't use it or your details in our own marketing without asking you first."

What won't Little Anthem make?

We don't make songs that are hateful, mocking or about public figures, and we don't copy real artists. The terms say: "We won't write songs that are hateful, harassing, sexual, mocking or humiliating," or "about public figures or celebrities, political, or that copy existing songs or artists." You must be 18 or over to order.

How long do you keep my song and details?

Your song stays available to download for at least 12 months. If you don't buy, your answers, the lyrics and the audio are deleted after 30 days. If you buy, the details you typed are deleted after 90 days. Order and payment records are kept for six years for tax. We don't use analytics cookies. Full details are in the privacy notice.

Do you have reviews?

Not yet. Little Anthem has no customer reviews or ratings to show, so we don't display any. Instead, you can hear real example songs, and you hear your own song free before you pay.
